How to Open Your DeFlare Fan
A 30-second habit that keeps your fan smooth, quiet, and snap-free all season long.

Step by Step
Hold the Base
Grip the closed fan at the rivet — the pin at the bottom where all the ribs meet — with the folded panels facing up and the DeFlare logo facing you.
Loosen Your Grip
Relax your hold just enough for the ribs to move freely, without letting the whole fan fall open at once.
Open It Up
Use a quick outward flick of the wrist to let the ribs fan out in one smooth motion, or open it slower, rib by rib, until it's fully spread — either works, it's just a matter of preference.
Let It Lock Into Place
The fan should open to its full arc and settle naturally — you'll feel a slight resistance once it's fully extended.
Close It the Same Way, in Reverse
Gently guide the ribs back together starting from one edge, folding them into a flat stack rather than forcing them shut.
